I went to the range and the first three shots confused me. It took embarrassingly long to realize I’d left my scope cranked from the last session. Always return to your zero before storing also label your dials if you have to. Learn from my humiliation.

We’ve all blamed ammo, wind and planets aligning before checking turrets. Scope was fine, you just left it in orbit.

That kind of mistake sticks with you a long time. I always double-check my scope’s turret before the first shot because one bad range day ruined everything once and it felt stupid afterward.

Oh man, I've been there with the windage. After every trip to the range now I pretty much reset everything back to mechanical zero. It was a tough lesson to learn, believe me.
