Rifle or shotgun for apartments?

I’ve heard both sides argued hard. I’ve known people who chose a short shotgun for simplicity and others who preferred a lightweight rifle for control and capacity in tight spaces. Both had valid reasons. If you live in an apartment, which do you lean toward?

I live in a small space, so I prefer what I can handle when stressed. I worry more about bullets going too far than how many I can shoot, so training and knowing my gear is key. Doesn't matter that much what the tool is.
