Honest about bailing or make up excuses?

Do you just tell people straight up "don't feel like it" or do you make up reasons? I respect honesty but sometimes a little white lie is easier. What's your approach? Anyone brave enough to just say no without explaining?

I try to be honest most of the time. If I am not feeling it, I say so. Sometimes I try to be gentle, but honesty saves time in the long run.

Most times I just say nope and move on.
