Alright, I know this has been beaten to death, but I'm genuinely curious what you guys carry and why. Is .45 actually better stopping power...9mm seems more practical with capacity and recoil but everyone's got an opinion, what's in your holster?
Look, the only honest answer is capacity usually beats caliber....for most people. Back in the day, .45 made sense because 9mm ammo wasn’t very good...today, modern 9mm defensive rounds are excellent, and carrying 15–17 rounds instead of eight makes it way more practical. It’s cheaper to practice with, so you’ll actually get good at shooting. Of course, shot placement and training still matter most, but for everyday carry, 9mm is the smart choice
