I am curious to hear everyone’s stories, what was the very first firearm you ever shot and how did it go?

Ruger 10/22 with my older brother when I was about 10 years old . . he gave it to me when he left home . . I eventually gave it away (maybe because my mother wasn't fond of the idea). I regret very few things, that's one of them! I now believe it was one of the original 10/22's manufactured in 1964. Sad to even think about it!

That was a significant portion of a century ago! You expect me to remember that far back? :ROFLMAO:

While I was taught the basics of aiming, etc. on a BB gun at YMCA campa at age 7 or 8, the first actual firearm would have been Dad's Lee-Enfield 303 about age 13.

Giving it away must sting especially knowing it was such a historic 10/22.

Starting with a Lee-Enfield at 13 is impressive :)
