Are lever actions better for thick cover?

I keep hearing that lever-action rifles are perfect for brush hunting and thick woods. Is there really an advantage or is this just nostalgia talking? I mean, they're quick and light, but so are other options...

I’d say it’s mostly nostalgia talking. Modern bolt actions and semi autos are just as quick in thick woods, especially with today’s short barrels and lightweight builds. Lever guns are fun and classic, but not automatically better for brush hunting anymore
